About Us

Our Background

An organization established to promote entrepreneurial development of previously disadvantaged women. The Women in Water Infrastructure and Construction – SA (TWWIC-SA) was founded in 2017 to empower women to gain access to contracts, training programmes, finance and network in the Built Environment. 

The Built Environment role players, stakeholders and Associations were gathered for a National workshop at the University of Pretoria on the 11th June 1997 where the mandate was given to initiatives like TWWIC-SA to go ahead with the main objective of empowering women in the Built Environment  TWWIC-SA leadership were part of that history where this decision was made.

Facilitate Opportunities for members through partnerships with Stakeholders. Provide Funding opportunities Facilitate Access to Construction Opportunities for Women.

Profit & Empowerment

Profit Making Organisation. Empowerment of Women in the Built Environment.

Capacity & Growth

Capacity Building of Members. Provision of Technical Support to Members. Monitoring and Evaluation of members business growth and associates. Support the spirit of entrepreneurialism with an active focus on sustainable 2nd Economy.

Membership will be limited to maximum of 150 nationwide.

o Company CIDB Grade 6 to Grade 8.
o SMME CIDB Grade 1 to Grade 5.
o Professional Membership of individuals registered with industry body.
o Student Membership.
o Corporate membership.
